I fought against the Taliban forces that Iran funded. No one, especially not me, is lamenting the death of the Ayatollah. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. But I’ve lived through a forever war – I know what they cost American service members and their families. And I’ve seen who pays the price, and it’s not Washington politicians like Roger Marshall. America should be strong, and Americans should be safe, but you don’t start a war of distraction without evidence, without a clear objective, or without a plan to end it.

People at the top are treating war like it’s a video game or action movie, while our sons and daughters are being used as bargaining chips. This is not a spectator sport. There are very real consequences when we put lives on the line, at home and abroad. I will stand strong against America entering into any more forever wars – which politicians use as an excuse to cut our healthcare and Social Security – and hold accountable those who are pushing us toward them for their own gain.
